Is it permissible (in the license agreement) (which I could not find online) to install MC 12 on two computers in the same residence for use by only one person?
Or do I need to buy one copy per PC?
Thanks

Yes, you can:

and if you own many computers, you will need to purchase multiple licenses for them.
How Many Is Many?
Since A Household Has 2.5 Kids
And A Household Would Have A Mom And One Dad Or Two Moms Or Two Dads
Would Many be
1. Dad's Computer
2. Mom's Computer
3. Number One Son's Computer
4. Number Two Son's Computer
5. Number 2.5 Son's Computer (With A Health Care Provider)

When it gets to your pet's computer, and your ex-spouse's ex-spouse's niece's computer, that's many.... :)

If you guys ever feel like I need to buy another license... Just tell me and I will. I actually intend to buy one for work here soon, since I'll be using MC to run our Video Wall display. Short of that, I use MC regularly on 3 machines (my HTPC, my at-home workshop PC, and my Macbook Pro). I have it installed on 3 more -- my "piano room" computer (officeish -- we have my "workshop" area and the shared "office"), my work machine, and the "shared" work workstation. It is rarely used other than "demo" or "interact-related" purposes on anything other than the three listed initially though. ;) ;D

glynor you may need a industrial license.

well, I think about creating a zone separated whole house music system...
The SERVER with the music database
and
Three thin CLIENTS with nothing else than a video output, a soundcard and so on... Ethernet network connected to the central server - per zone, 3 zones for now
(because I obviously cannot solve that problem within one single computer system as of now)
Question:
How many licenses do I have to buy for this setup???
Thanks for a clear response!

Hi Martin, all three systems are for you (and your family) so one license is all you need.

And this is one of the best things about MC.
Thanks!

Personally I think JRiver is too generous with their licenses, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Yeah, let us have a JRiver Genuine Advantage program running in the taskbar. So that it can help us keep our license up to date.
I just upgraded my soundcard and im not shure if I have to buy another license?
;)
