dont know if this is related but i get hesitation playing m4p files, most users dont seem to play these files though, just a thought.

Try playing them in Quicktime to see what you get.  I believe we use the QT engine for these files.

I had a similar problem which is now solved.  I solved it by installing a multi-filter pack and multi-format decoders pack.  I selected CCCP which has very good reviews on this forum.  You can find it here:
