Title: Missing Meta Data (like Duration) on Video Clips - How to generate?
Post by: jmone on May 04, 2007, 06:51:26 am
It is worse on my Vista PC than on the XP one but both have some Video clips (no noticable pattern) where they are missing values for Duration, Bitrate, and Dimensions - any Idea how to get MC to update this info correctly?

Thanks
Nathan

To let MC re-analyze a file, use Library Tools -> Update Library (from tags). This may not work for all files. If MC could not get the correct value the first time, it may not do it the second time either. You should make sure your filter selection is correct before trying it.

One thing I know MC gets it wrong is the video size, as you have reported. My HDTV recordings (1280x720) are also reported to be 704x480.

Thanks Yaobing - that seems to be doing the trick nicely!  I see I can also update the files tags by changing them in MC and using the Update Tags from Library - but is there a list or method for viewing what tags are available in a file?
