How about updating the plugins page and make the MJ plugin version number relate to the version number of the software it's based on? Or at least mention the original software's version number in the MJ plugin description?
Example:
MJ's Monkey's Audio (APE) encoder plugin is version 2.0.33. What version of Monkey's Audio is THAT? On the plugin page it shows that version 2.0.33 dated 4-24-2002 is based on Monkey's Audio version 3.97b1 (beta 1). On August 2, 2002 Monkey's Audio released version 3.97 (non-beta). Isn't is time to update the MJ plugin? (I'd think Matt might have mentioned that Monkey's Audio 3.97 is no longer beta.)
The MJ encoder plugin for Ogg Vorbis is 2.0.59. So which release of Ogg Vorbis is that based on? The plugin on the MJ web page is 2.0.58 which was based on OGG Vorbis encoder version 1.0. So far OGG Vorbis has not released an encoder past version 1.0, so what is MJ's 2.0.59 based on?
So how about it? Update the plugins and state in the description which version of the original it is based on?

BTW, on the plugins page, it says that the author of the Monkeys's Audio encoder plugin is Matt Asland. Who's that? Any relation to Matt Ashland?

Starring Dirk Diggler and Matt Assland in 'Sir Lance a lot' :D !!
Matt you dont have a handlebar moustache by any chance do you !!!

heheh, Dirk Diggler. "This is real imported Italian nylon."
On the topic, it would be nicer to have version numbers synched. And I doubt it would have any impact for newbies.

LC,
Fixed Matt Asland, but the others will take time. You can count on the APE plug-ins being the latest that Matt thinks are stable.
