I've organised my playlists by putting all the ones I want to see in TheaterView at the top level and grouped all the ones I don't want to see in TheaterView into a Newly Created "Playlist Group" called "Other Playlists" (see below). There does not seem to be an "Show in TheaterView" check box option on Playlist Groups like views....any idea how to not have the "Other Playlists" playlist group appear in TheaterView without just deleting it?
Thanks
Nathan

I was asking for the same thing a while ago without getting many comments.

I'd like to see a solution too.

CJ - nice post on the subject! FYI the grouping I've got above has the following effect in TheaterView with at least minimises the issues (but does not remove the group):

By design, all playlists are shown in Theater View. Nesting is the best way if you're trying to hide certain playlists.
-
But that still means they are getting calculated?
It's also an issue for UpnP.

Not in Theater View. We show a folder icon instead of icons for the files inside the group for this reason.

I take it you can also not change the order in which the appear at this stage?
Thanks

Another option would be to make a separate Top-Level View Scheme to contain all of your non-Theater View friendly Playlists and move all the applicable Playlist Groups in there.
Theater View just lists whatever Playlists show up underneath the Playlists View Scheme. There's no reason you can't have other View Schemes which contain Playlists.

@Glynor:
that sounds exactly like what i want to do.
But can you please tell me how?
I tried to make a Top-Level View Scheme and move my playlist.
But i can't seem to move my playlist anywhere.
They just stay underneath "Playlists".
Did you actually try that?
