Title: CDDB Open Socket Failure. Hel!
Post by: Rocky on August 24, 2002, 10:17:55 am
win2k sp2 MJ 7.2

Get the CDDB Open Socket failure msg when trying to rip disc.
Windows media player CDDB recognized it fine.

Uninstalled MJ then reinstalled and it worked,  Next re-imported
library of MP3's.  Tried to rip again and now get the same error
message as before.

I'm stuck.

All help Welcome.

This could be a CDDB server problem.

Why would it work with Win Media Player?  Is that because it is a different CDDB?  I had tried it several times a day the past 2 days.
Seems like the server should have been ok one of those days.

Thanks
