Title: Artist shows up multiple times after ipod sync

I have seen this on 2 different ipods now.

Had 50GB or so transferred to my ipod and added a little more to my 60GB ipod video before this trip.  When I transferred a few more albums I found that artists with "the" in the name showed up several times.  In scrolling through artists I see:

The Style Council
The Style Council
The Style Council
The Style Council
The Style Council
The Style Council

and when you click on any of them you get the exact same album listings for each:

Cafe Bleu
Headstart for Happiness
The singular adventures of the sytle council

Since we are on vacation, I don't know which version I had at home (probably about 2 weeks old); most of the ipod was loaded about 2 months ago.

Any ideas?

What firmware version are you running on the iPod? (I believe this behavior disappeared with a firmware update.) What version of MC12 are you running?
