Title: True Capacity shown in Ipod?
Post by: olarte on June 12, 2007, 03:01:52 pm
I've removed a lot of tunes from my 60gb ipod, I noticed that MC12 shows the true count 19gb used, 35 free, Yet the Ipod About screen still shows as 27gb used out of 55 capacity...

1. I'm assuming I will still be able to get past the 27gb used number reported by the ipod, when I reach that point.

2. Short of initializing the ipod, is there a way for the Ipod to re-read, and show the correct information of space used\available. (Note: I don't have Itunes installed only MC).

Thanks In Advance,

Ivan

MC: 55GB - 19 GB = 36 GB free
iPod = 37 GB free.

That's just rounding errors due to either the iPod or MC (or both) simplifying the display to the user. I'd much prefer seeing "36 GB free" than "36,865,234 Bytes free".
