I have the Navigation menu added onto the top toolbar (along with File Edit View Player etc) to give me access to my most used view schemes and smartlists. When I select a submenu of the Navigation menu, as well as showing the view scheme (which I want it to do) it also expands the left hand tree view and shows the location of the menu I selected (which I don't want it to do). This expansion is unnecessary and clutters up the display. Could we see an option (or simply disable it) to stop the expansion of the tree when a top menu navigation is used? This would keep things much tidier and by stopping unnecessary LHS tree expansions (and subsequent manual closures).
[edit]I just noticed that Playing Now (which I also have on the top bar) does the same thing and it would be nice if it also didn't do this[/edit]
Many thanks,
Mark

Tree auto-expand / auto-collapse on selection is configurable in Options > Tree & View

Hi Matt,
Either I am missing something then or it is broken in 12.0.251. Regards of whether Options->Tree&View->Tree->Auto expand is checked or not I see the same behavior, ie tree expansion.
Having it unchecked means that there is no expansion if I double click, say on Audio, but it I select an item from the Navigation menu off the top toolbar it expands the tree.
?
Cheers,
Mark
