Title: Sync with Walkman phone/memory card question
Post by: Marty3d on June 15, 2007, 07:25:20 am
Hi!

I got my new phone a while ago, a SE w880i, and today I thought I'd play around syncing it with some playlists in MC. It works perfectly, adding my playlists and all, great!

One thing that bothered me was that MC lists all files on my phone in the sync list, not just my music (which is the only thing I want to synchronize). Why? Because I want to check the "Delete files on sync"-thingy. But I REALLY don't want MC to delete anything else than the music, nicely put in a directory of its own.

So my question is really, what is going to happen if I let MC delete files automatically? Can I set up any option somewhere so MC only uses my music folder on the phone?

Thanks!
/Martin

MC will only delete files of the same media type as the ones it is synching and it stays away from system directories on smartphones and pda's so you're pretty safe as it is. But you can limit the file types in options to be extra safe. (Separate file types with a ";" [semicolon] as in "mp3;wma;ogg;jpg;wmv").
