Title: Series is now a [Standard Library Field] !!
Post by: hit_ny on June 17, 2007, 12:18:55 pm
I had a user defined field with the same name in 11.1

12 only has the Video Flag defined and its not possible to check Audio in the Properties setup.

My viewschemes still show it in the library.

What to do  ?

You could do the following:

Change the displayed name of the "Series" field to "Series (video)"

Create a new custom field with some other internal name. Use "Series" as the displayed name for this new field.

Create a smartlist that shows all files with a Series (video) value and use the Move / Copy Fields tool for moving the values to your new Series field.

or

You could ask JRiver to open the "Flags" options for editing.

I suppose it is good have the default flags selected, but I don't understand why users are not allowed to edit these.

The Track # field is another example. I have used it for years with certain video, image and document files (partly because it is the only field that has an auto-numbering system). Now it is flagged as "Audio" only.

Created a user field called [Album Series] and then just moved from [Series] to it.

Problem solved :D
