Title: Twinhan USB Remote
Post by: sle118 on June 22, 2007, 10:19:58 am
All,

I have a Twinhan USB Infrared Remote that I would like to use with Media Center.

The remote receiver is recognized as a HID Keyboard and HID Mouse.

Pressing keys on the remote generate keypress. For example, "play" is "Enter". Volume up/Volume down is "Key Up/Key down". Channel up/down is "Page up/Page Down". Channel numbers are mapped to numbers.

Is there any way I can use such a remote command to control Media Center Reliably?

Thank you

Theater View is usable with only left, right, up, down, and enter.

Does the remote have these buttons?

It does. I could probably live with this... but if anyone has a better solution, please let me know!

Thanks

Matt,

Is there a way to change the default mapping keys in the Theater View?

The remote generates some keys, but not all (for example left and right). The ideal would be to learn from the remote itself.

The usb receiver is recognized as a keyboard and pressing the remote keys in notepad has the same effect as typing on the keyboard.
