Title: Ogg-FLAC -> just what is it?

I saw in the FLAC encoder settings, this check box:

Use Ogg as transport layer (.ogg)

What is this and why would i use it?

Ogg is a multimedia container format. It can contain audio and video that is encoded with various encoders. The most common is Vorbis, but for example FLAC is also possible. However, usually player programs and devices can play only Vorbis content.
