Greetings Media Center guru's. Hopw life is wonderul to everyone of you. Just a question on the possibility of flac support built into Media Center, any plans in the near future? I see that Creative now has flac support.
Thank you. *smiles*

Not built in, but, the next best thing.... download flac plugins (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=161914)

schtom has worked extremely hard keeping the two plugins up-to-date and bug free, and makes the plugins available to us free of charge. if you have the means, there is the option to make a donation, but it's not compulsory. there are many, many users running these two plugins without any problems at all, you won't go wrong by installing them, and if you do happen to have any problems, ask for help in the 3rd party plugins forum and you will receive prompt and accurate advice.

Still, built into the MC build would be absolutely incredible.  Is there any chance that could happen?  Another good advantage is that it would allow us to update the plugins when a new version of MC comes out.  As it is now, It's very unlikely I would check scthom's site for the latest version, let alone download and install them.

Just a though.

scthom always posts in the 3rd party forums to let us know when he's released plugin updates.
