Title: Find out how many albums I've got in MC

Is there anyway to tell how many Albums I've got
in MC anymore?

[Media Type]=[Audio] [Track #]==1 -[Genre]=[Podcast] [Disc #]=<=1 [CompleteAlbum]==1

It'll just show the first track of each album, but it gives you a number.

Although this (using the details view for the top portion) gives me in the Name field:

Album Artist (auto) - Album

so I can paste that one field into a .doc it does NOT provide the number of albums like statistics did; once pasted into an Excel spreadsheet, I guess you'd have your answer.

When I followed datdude's instructions, it displayed the number of albums in the status bar for me. If I select a genre or artist, it will also show how many albums of that genre or artist I have.

This only works for album thumbnails in the bottom view, totals are displayed in the status bar. All i see is stacks in the top view when i do this.

How to get item counts for the top view if its displayed as details, there is no 'All' anymore ?

..selecting all via ctrl+a, gives the total files or time taken for all those files, but there is no item count.

You want to be in pane view, not the album view. Then from the Pane menu, select the Album thumbnails option rather than details.

in some views i find it very usefull to put [track #] underneath the stacks in the upper pane. this gives me the ammount of files/songs. it would be nice if it would also work with [disc #], giving you the amount of discs/albums? at this moment it does not show up at all.

I too would like to see this appear, once again, in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. I am disappointed that it was removed in subsequent builds. It seems many folks are asking for it to come back.
