Title: year in the albumname

hey folks!
i have a question. is it somehow possible to create a field named "year" in the menu? so if i'd start the ipod and pick the option "music" and go on to "interpret", after that it wouldn't just be the name of the album but also the year of it's release.
it's because when i listen to new music i would like to first listen to the first album of the band than the second and so on... so that i can understand the bands musical development.
but i don't want to change the ID3-Tag, so i thought maybe one can change the menu.
and if it isn't possible to that now, could there be an option like taht somewhere in the future?

then i have another question.
is it possible to change the ID3-Tag while synchronising the ipod? i would like to chang the tag "album" to "year- album".
