Title: Pausing playback - save our screens
Post by: prod on July 30, 2007, 04:54:25 am
Noticed last night that when I pause playback the picture stays on the screen indefinitely. Would it be possible to dim the screen a little, or present some kind of screen saver after a few minutes of pause?

If that is the problem, why don't you use a regular screen saver in windows?

Because Display View disables the windows screen saver. Surprised you didn't infer this from my post.

Sorry. My bad. Been a while since I used Display View.

This is such a good idea. I'm always worried about burn in when someone leaves stuff paused too long in Display View.

Perhaps after x minutes of something being paused in Display View, the normal power management timers can kick in? Or, maybe MC could automatically switch back to Theater View or the last view used, so that power management is not overridden.

This really is a "must have" in my opinion.

Thanks.
