I know that this was fixed in a previous build regarding recorded TV Prog's but I've just noticed that I've got many files reporting the wrong resolution in MC:
Actual File Dimensions / As Shown in MC (File Type)
720x576 / 768x576 (16:9 PAL DV/AVI Files)
1440x1080 / 1536x1080 (16:9 HDV Files)
Thanks

Nathan,
MC gets the dimensions by reading the video format info from the output of decoders, after running the video in background briefly. Is there any pattern related to the incorrect dimensions? Any particular decoder, etc.?

Thanks - it also explains why the odd resolutions are a bit different on my two machines and not always consistant on file tyles as I've been playing with filter selections - and no doubt had different filters when the thumbs were being built. From what I can tell:
Actual File Dimensions / As Shown in MC (File Type) = Decoder
- 720x576 / 768x576 (16:9 PAL DV/AVI Files) = DV Video Renderer in Vista
- 720x576 / 768x576 (16:9 PAL MPEG2 Files) = MPV or the MS MPEG2 Video Decoder???
- 1440x1080 / 1536x1080 (16:9 HDV Files & 1080i TV Records) = MPV or the MS MPEG2 Video Decoder???
- 1440x1080 / 1440x1088 (1080i TV Records) = nVidia Decoder
I'm not that worried :D - let me know if you want me to invistigate any further
Thanks anyway
Nathan
PS it would still be nice to have a process to re-Thumbnail stuff easily.
