Title: Normalizing MP3 audio in MC 12
Post by: KAP on August 05, 2007, 01:59:44 pm
Is it possibly to normalize MP3 audiofiles in MC 12 without deleeting TAG information?

It should be a simple operation, because it talks about av really tall library.
If its possibly, please give me a shortform guide for it.

If I understand you, it normalizes very well without deleting tag information.

Go to http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/Replay_Gain

>>Media Center can analyze your audio files so that you can play them back at the same volume. The information is stored in the database and in the file itself, so that playing the file with any player will play it back at the volume set here.<<

How does one "activate" the replay gain settings in a car mp3 player - or any other mp3 player for that matter??

MC supports iPod's volume levelling feature (soundcheck). Car MP3 players and most other DAPs don't usually support replay gain.

It is possible the volume level MP3 files permanently with a separate program so that all HW and SW players use the adjusted volume levels: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

This is not correct. It should be removed from the Help file and from the Wiki. Only MC supports the created file tags.
