I've searched for hours but have not found the answer I need
I've got a client who has a tonne of apple protected music and videos purchased via Itunes. We need to get this music into JRiver and play it via JRiver through the distributed audio system. I am Itunes ignorent...I never use it.
Protected Itunes are on a local pc
Will copy all the Itunes to the new NAS
A dedicated media server with JRiver installed feeds the distributed audio system and reads/monitors the NAS for changes
JRiver currently cannot play the protected music
Install ITunes?
Play protected song and input username/pass to unlock the protected content on the NAS?
Uninstall ITunes?
JRiver will now play this music? (Quicktime is installed also...hated to do that even)
This may sound like a really stupid question but I am really reluctant to install ITunes as apple always has this habit of taking over everything and messing up the settings. What a total pain in the #%$%$%
Anyone have a step by step tutorial for dealing with this?

It's Media Center. JRiver Media Center.
MC can play music purchased from the Apple Music store. It uses the Quicktime engine to do this. If you're careful, you can install QT without iTunes. You'll have to look around to find the right link.
