JRiver Media Center wins on both counts. The "Media" in its name is significant: It applies the same organization to photo collections, movie collections, and even your TiVo content.

..unless im mistaken, there is no way to view tivo content from another device unless you manage to somehow grab it off the tivo itself, getting around the encryptions etc.

All MC & others can do is send stuff on a pc to a tivo.
