Title: Randomly burn songs across multiple discs
Post by: gummbah on August 25, 2007, 08:17:38 am
I have a playlist of about 8 hours of music which I would like to burn to multiple cd's. Is there a way that MC randomly distributes the songs across the discs?

Just add them to the burn disc in a random order.  Sort by random in your playlist and then add them to your disc.  MC, I think, automatically splits songs across multiple discs on its own.

Thanks!
Indeed that did the trick. I have now seven cd's with my favorite songs in random order.
That will ease my driving on holidays!
Cheers.

I am glad that it worked for you.

Personally, I would create a new static playlist of the smartlist contents, suffle it and split it to six or seven new "burn" playlists, each being below 80 minutes. This would make possible to fine tune the contents by moving files between the playlists so that the disc space would be fully used. It would also make possible to continue the burning process if it is interrupted for any reason.
