Hi --
I'm a new user of MJ8 and a first-time poster, so please be gentle with me.
I'm having trouble saving text info in the non-file-based tag fields, e.g. Lyrics & Notes. I go to edit the properties, then click in the field I want to edit, and then click on the little Edit button on the far right of the row. Then I either paste in some text or type it in manually and click Save in the Text Editor window. At this point, I can see first line or so of the text in the field row, and it looks fine. I click Save in the Media File Properties window, and it seems to work fine. However, if I play the file or open the file properties again, the text is not there. It's just gone.
Now, the really funny thing about this is that is worked for the first couple of files I tried, before it stopped working. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling MJ8, and again, it worked for the first 2 files I tried, but after that, not.
I tried changing another field when I changed the Lyrics field, hoping that would force a save, but it didn't to make any difference.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
-- PollyQ

King Sparta, upgrading might well solve the problem, but I'm not looking for "better" handling of lyrics, etc., just the functionality that's supposed to be in MJ8.
Thanks!
