Title: Option to view subfolder contents in "Drives & Devices" view
Post by: Quixote on September 12, 2007, 02:30:55 pm
Currently, I can view a list of the files & tags for a selected folder in the "Drives & Devices" view.  Is there a setting to view subfolder's contents as well? I often find that I need to just make quick changes to tags/filenames for files that I don't want to import into the library.  Usually the files are organized into folders and subfolders.  If there isn't a setting to allow this, could there be one? Maybe a right click option to "Show Subfolders Contents"?

Thanks!

while in a folder in drives and devices, have a look at the bottom of the screen and you should see the text "Single Folder". Try clicking on that text for more options ;) :)

Wow, you learn something new every day. It took me a while to figure out what those other 3 options were for but I got it. The problem I have is that the down arrow for that selection is way at the right side of the screen. Can it be placed next to "Single Folder" so people know there's a menu there?

The "recursive" view is one of the coolest features of MC. Especially when combined with the "Rename Files from Properties" feature.

Thanks, Marko, for pointing that out.

I always wished there was a way to do this...

Doubt I ever would have noticed it down there.  Took me a bit to find it even after you pointed it out.

Thanks!
