Title: Error Loading Library

AM using latest release of v12.
Have un-installed and re-installed - twice.
(Using Vista OS)

On virtually every start up of the program I am getting "Error loading library"
When I take the option to restore for a backup library - I usually get the err " Already in use by another user"
There is of course no other user.

I have searched the forum and can't see a thread on this, so if there is one I apologise.
Am just really frustrated at this.

All other apps on the pc are fine - Photoshop CS3, MS standard apps etc all okay.

Hope someone can help

I saw this the first time you posted, but I don't know the answer.

The error message may be correct.

Hi JohnFC,

I use Vista and have also seen this behaviour.  I normally cancel out of the "restore from a backup option" and restart MC - at which stage it runs fine from then on.  While I'm not sure what causes this it is normally after I've been playing with Direct Show filters, done something bad, and had to either terminate MC or reboot the PC.
