Title: How do I stream audio directly to my AMP?

Using Media Centre to play back movie files (DVD and such)...but how do I stream the audio through the SPDIF output on my card?

Media Centre downmixes the audio to PCM, and this is no good.  On WinDVD for example, there is an option to pass audio through the SPDIF output.  My AMP can then recieve and decode the Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS sound track.

The only option I can see in Media Center that remotely resembles this is the "Direct Sound" option...however this still downmixes the audio to PCM.

Any help appreciated...
