Post by: starker on September 21, 2007, 12:19:18 pm
Where can I send my log file for review?  It's too long to post here.

Please try updating MC and the firmware on the device first.

Try also Redetect Devices under MC's options for handhelds.

With the current version, 12.0.329, you can just post the last 30 lines or so before the point where you find the word "crash".

I Reinstalled firmware.  Still crashing Media Center.

Getting the following error window:  The instruction at "0x1004575d" referenced memory at "0x01aa15a8".  The memory could not be "read".

Try redetect devices.

Try switching from MTP/WMDM.

Both in MC Options for handhelds.

Redetecting keeps causes the same crash.

Couldn't find how to "switch from MTP/WMDM."

Can you copy your system info from MC Help and paste it here?  Thanks.

I'm not the expert on this, but try changing the Zen's settings for WMDM or MTP or PlaysForSure.  They're three names for the same thing -- supports Windows Media DRM.

Take a careful look at other connected devices or software that relates to the devices.  We used to see odd problems with some versions of Nero, but that shouldn't be true any longer.

There is no place for me to change the WMDM or MTP or PlaysForSure seettings on the device and I don't see where in MC12 I can do that either as it relates to the device.
