Title: Firewire miniDV Camera Live Video
Post by: benn600 on October 03, 2007, 04:34:55 pm
I'm working on a project now where we will need the ability to show pre-rendered video while maintaining the ability to switch to a live miniDV camera ... and back.  I know S-Video or Composite would work from the camera we're using but I wanted to see if anyone has any better ideas?  Unfortunately, we don't have a HD camera at this point so we are a little limited on capabilities output wise. Nothing greater than S-Video/Composite that I'm aware of and those all aren't great.

Our camera does offer progressive and I'm thinking that will help since it will be on a projector.

Is there an easy way to bring in firewire video and show it full screen/live with very little (NO) delay?  I think MC may be the best choice for playing video so it would need to integrate or switch well between MC....  any ideas would be great!
