Title: Software HDCD decoder
Post by: thomaspf on October 05, 2007, 12:28:19 am
I just came across this software HDCD decoder http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~cjk32/hdcd/ (http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~cjk32/hdcd/) on another forum. That sounds like a great idea for a DSP plugin.

Ideally this would work on all 16 bit / 44.1Khz stream and would blow them up to 24 bit if it detects that the stream contains HDCD encoded data. Anyone with coding skills interested?

Cheers

Setting the MC DSP to 24-bit would not essentially do the same?
