Title: Ctrl + F vs. Ctrl + Q
Post by: benn600 on October 07, 2007, 05:48:28 pm
Can someone explain the uses for Ctrl + F to me?  I obviously see the difference but am not quite sure Ctrl + F is very useful.  I would like to suggest switching the two.  Is there a way I can simply change the keyboard shortcuts to make Ctrl + F be the same as Ctrl + Q?

Ctrl + F as it is now assumes that I am interested in Audio and goes there.  Ctrl + F is very natural and really should simply popup a box.  If you really wanted to go all out--add something like Firefox has where it adds a lower bar and searches instantly.  I just want a very quick way to find something in my current view and I essentially only use the left Ctrl/Alt (and right Shift only) even though I type very fast.  Reaching Ctrl + Q is very tough, lol.

But not just because it's more convenient: I think it better follows the Ctrl + F (find) scenario based on what most programs use it for.
