Title: iPod Firmware updates:
Post by: Yorrick on October 18, 2007, 10:10:13 pm
So I have Windows 2000 and thus cannot use iTunes with my Classic. Any way I can get updated? If that's even a good idea... My friend has a Classic also so if I plugged mine in to his iTunes would it update mine as well?

You can update your iPod on another computer.

You can also take your iPod to an Apple store and have them update it for you.

Well my one friend with iTunes is having internet issues, so no dice tonight, but another dude might be able to. No Apple store in town I'm afraid, that's cool though.

Good luck.

Unless you are trying to solve a specific problem you are having, I wouldn't worry about updating the firmware quickly. If it takes days or weeks it should not matter.

Yeah, I'm not too worried. Cover art is being a bit of a person, but I'm dealing with it. I can wait.

Thanks.
