Now that I'm about eligible to collect Social Security, I sometimes wander a bit off the path.
I thought Benn600 was coming to the Twin Cities tonight and so I bought some beer (and soft drinks).
About a nanosecond into the 4:00 PM event, I learned that it was for another month, one that begins with an N, I think.
In any case, we enjoyed ourselves for an hour after work tonight.

Thanks, Ben.

Oh, what cruelty! Do you have any idea what the phrase "No More Beer" means to a college student? I think you do!
And you lined up the Dead Soldiers--what goes around comes around!
-
That's pretty funny. ;D Sounds like you made the best of the situation.
Nice to see the warm reception you were about to give Ben.

benn, take a look at what you luckily avoided. These guys look depraved--dangerous!! My advice? If I were going to Minnesota, I would give these clowns a wide berth. See the sights instead; I know there's a great exhibit on the life and public service of Hubert Horatio Hornblower, er, Humphrey. Take that in. Read the speeches, soak in the atmosphere.
Really benn. Hours spent soaking in fermented hops and dancing with VR goggles on can't be good for you. Have you examined Minnesota's track record in the Electoral College?
-
So... those VR goggles... any good? I've always wondered...
-
If that's what your work space looks like, I don't feel so bad about mine ;D I'll have a couple of shots mtself now. 8)

I am such a bad forum member. I was looking back trying to find the J River boat pictures I recall from months ago because now that I've met a lot of the staff, I would have recognized more people (I think).
But I'm a bad forum member beacuse in looking way back, I saw lots of statistics on how ~34% of my posts are new threads. What does that mean? It means I miss tons of threads. That's why I always chime in after the thread is beyond single-sitting read length.
Can you believe that I just pondered onto this thread so late in the game? I didn't even see it before visiting. And it is just a bit sad that I didn't even get to meet Jim since he is the person I interact with the most on this forum. But remember my relatives are 30 minutes from you guys and we will be up there again for Christmas this year.
So based on my reputation, I guess I should ask: "Are you guys going to be working on Christmas day so I can visit and meet Jim and the rest of the gang that wasn't there?" I can't stay more than a couple days so I would have to ask that you work your schedule around me, if you wouldn't mind.
-
From what I hear, Jim doesn't even work on the other 364 days that aren't Christmas.
But he keeps Matt chained at his desk through the holidays so you stand a good chance of seeing him.
