Every once in a while, someone asks for a replacement for the MP101.
Last night, I borrowed the JRiver Roku M500, took it home, and plugged it in. It was easy to configure the wireless, and started playing without any more configuration. My playlist is 20,000 items, so I was a little surprised to see it load all 20,000 before beginning to play, but it only took a minute and (even though I expected it to run out of memory) began playing just fine.
I'm very impressed, Roku's come a long way since I last looked at them. Unfortunately the M500 is no longer for sale, but the M1001 is (a little pricey for me, but not too bad) and the M500 can be found on eBay.

I can second the vote for the Roku M500. At one time I had three of them (down to one now) and they are very nice little boxes. Looks good too.

Does it work with Vista?

Yes, it does. I just tested it to make sure.

OK. I will look out for. Will check if it (the M1010) is for sale in Europe.
Thnx for this nice Christmas present.
