I have, out of 1tb of tunes, about 8,000 files that 'fail to import' for unknown reasons. My guess is that these are incomplete and/or damaged files dating back to Napster days.
1. Barring 'moving' all the imported files, about 150,000, to a new raid system, and checking out the 8,000 leftovers...
2. ...are there any third party apps that will trek through my library and analyze the 'unables' for validity?
3. I always convert .flac and others to .mp3, because of the disk space advantage, and because my hearing doesn't know the difference. Can damage occur during conversion?
