Title: Analyze Audio-- Where is this data stored?
Post by: Allen949 on November 03, 2007, 08:22:20 pm
I have many audio files (> 40,000) on a NAS box which is accessed by multiple computers.  Each computer obviously needs to build (or import) its own library.

However, does each user of MC need to also run Analyze Audio independently (very, very time consuming), or does one run of this function leave a tag on the audio files in a way that is accessible to any user of the library (who trhen wishes to take advantage of automatic gain)?

As long as you let MC modify your files' tags (and they're a taggable format), it'll only need to be done once.

They are FLAC files, so they should be fine.  I am now analyzing the entire library and hope to do it only once.

Thank-you.
