When i try to import a folder, MC reports 0 new files imported.
1. I can play FLAC files
2. "FLAC" appears under audio File Associations
3. Tools -> Options -> Encoding -> FLAC is checked
4. Upgrade to 12.0.663. The problem persists.
Any help will be welcome.

1. I can play FLAC files
Did you try to right-click import in Playing Now?
2. "FLAC" appears under audio File Associations
3. Tools -> Options -> Encoding -> FLAC is checked
These are not related to importing.
4. Upgrade to 12.0.663. The problem persists.
I guess you mean 12.0.363. :)
Is the FLAC input plug-in listed in Tools > Plug-in Manager > Input > FLAC Plugin ?
When i try to import a folder, MC reports 0 new files imported.
Did you try use the Import Folder tool or some other method?
If you used the Import Folder tool,
- did you select "FLAC" in the Advanced import settings?
- have you previously removed the same files from library? If yes, untick the "Ignore files previously removed from library" Advanced import setting.
If you have configured several folders for the Auto-Import feature you need to check the Advanced Options for each folder separately.

Can you import any files such as mp3, ape or wav using Tools > Import Folder and "browsing" to the folder with the files?
What version did you upgrade from?

Thanks for the answers.
1 - Did you try to right-click import in Playing Now?
It works, the song was imported. However, not a practical solution.
2 – Yes, V12.0.363
3 - Is the FLAC input plug-in listed in Tools > Plug-in Manager > Input > FLAC Plugin ?
Yes.
4 - Did you try use the Import Folder tool or some other method?
Yes, I use Tools > Import Folder. I select "FLAC" in the Advanced button. "Ignore files previously removed from library" is already unchecked.
5 - I don’t use Auto-Import.

Before the flac association was added, I imported some flac files and they didn't show up under audio as expected. When I went to add them later even after enabling the flac association, MC wouldn't add them to audio. IIRC, when they were added previously, they showed up as documents, I had to remove them from the library and reimport to get them in properly.

Jose,
Have you tried Tools > Import Folder, then typing the "path" to the folder containing your FLAC files directly into the folder box?
-
i am experiencing the exact same problem with a few alterations of getting there (perhaps):
i used the tools> library tools> copy disk file to copy .flac files from a server to my laptop, thinking i could take the files with me on the laptop for later playback. not.
i have pretty much the same problem. the files are there. i can "import" them and it says im importing the files. they are in the "recently imported" folder, but not in the general 'audio' folder. they will not play, though. and i have the flac plugin.

Please try 12.0.365 from the top of this board. We fixed a FLAC problem that may have been the cause of this one.

Works!
With the new version 12.0.365 the problem was resolved.
Thanks for all.
JimH, excellent job.
