Title: Strange Colors in directshow video (mp4) playback
Post by: bbrip on November 11, 2007, 12:42:43 pm
I am getting some weird colors when playing back mp4 files in MC12 (365). All very pale.

If I play the same file, also using ffdshow filters, thru Zoomplayer or MPC, all is fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It can be video card driver issues... Did you read the CCCP Troubleshooting guide for weird color issues?  Specifically, I've seen issues with Nvidia drivers and FFDSHOW playback.  For whatever reason, it didn't affect MPC (I don't remember Zoomplayer), I assume because they built-in a workaround.  It was easy enough to fix though, and I think I even posted a thread about it here.

Its not videocard driver issue, otherwise it wouldnt play right in other players either

Yes, read CCCP FAQ.

No.  Like I said... I have seen this personally with a nVidia driver conflict with the FFDSHOW currently included with CCCP, and it only affected MC (and probably other DirectShow players but I didn't extensively test) but did not affect MPC or WiMP.

This was the thread: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=42333.0
