I wanted to post a follow up to the thread I started called "Can't access CDDB server or check for updates?" but the button to submit a reply was gone for some reason, so I started this thread.
The problem appears to be SOLVED!!!
Someone on the AVS forum named "Sherbona" suggested that having ZoneAlarm installed may cause problems. At first I doubted it was possible even though I had ZoneAlarm (the free version) installed on my computer because I didn't even have it running. However, once I deleted ZoneAlarm correctly and COMPLETELY (not always an easy task deleting ZoneAlarm) it DID instantly make the internet functions of Media JukeBox work.
Obviously, I can't claim this will work for everyone, but if your PC exhibits the same symptoms mine did, and you have ZoneAlarm (or a similar firewall) installed ... even inactive ... try seeing if deleting it helps.
