Title: Anybody got the new Zen 4/8/16GB?
Post by: AracornRed on November 25, 2007, 11:33:33 pm
I've been wanting to get a 16GB flash player to replace my increasingly undependable iPod nano 1G.  Considered the Sandisk Sansa View at first but reportedly it's super-buggy right out of the box.

So now I'm considering Creative's new 16GB Zen model.  If anybody out there has bought this already I'd love to hear how your general experience with it has been.  And how well does it sync with MC12?

On a semi-related note, are iPods the only players that can sync portable recently played info, ratings, and playlists to MC?

There is a new Sansa View out.  It's 16GB for $199 or 8GB for $149.  You can add up to 4GB with a MicroSD chip.  I bought one today and it looks very good.  I didn't notice any problems.  MC12 works with it.  We'll tune it a little in the next few builds.

I stick exclusively to Creative products for media players.
I just got a ZEN V/4GB and now wish I had spent a little extra on a 16GB unit.
Other than that, I am very happy with it and have no complaints.
