Title: Using my MC12 licence in MJ12
Post by: BryanC on November 29, 2007, 11:06:56 am
Is there any way that it could be implemented that MC12 owners be able to remove the "upgrade screen" that starts by default in MJ12? I used MC12 specifically for audio and I like MJ12 because it is less cluttered for this use. Thanks!

Not at this time.  We'll think about what to do.

this would also be nice to activate extra options in customized players.

After several startups the default startup location which opens an internet connection starts to look like an unnecessary harassment. Certainly the message must have become understood after seeing it xxx times. We must remember that many other free media players can directly continue from the last used playlist or a library view after a startup.

Maybe you could add a form for free registration in the startup page. For example, you could ask for permission to periodically send related offers. After the registration the user would be able to choose the start-up location.

Alternatively you could just allow the startup location change. You could make the option a bit difficult to reach so newbies would need to find it first.

actually, you can change the startup location using the same registry keys as in Media Center 12.

This is really very good hidden for newbies ;)
