hello,
im a new user and just started using the forums along with j river mc12. once i uploaded my library i began to notice that some artists were alphabetized by the word "the" (i.e. "The Fall Of Troy", "The Dilinger Escape Plan", "The Acacia Strain", "The Chariot"), instead of the first letter in the word after "the". i know this may sound confusing but im hoping its understandable. basically i want artists to be grouped as:
Fair To Midland
The Fall Of Troy
Fall River
instead of:
The Acacia Strain
The Chariot
The Dilinger Escape Plan
The Fall Of Troy...
...
...
Thrice
Tool
and so forth...
so my question is... is there anyway to alphabetize artists by using the first word of their name, except when the first word is "the" in which case the second word will be used?
and if i have missed a thread base around the same subject, i am sorry. as i did search and wasn't able to come up with a thread with the same question as the one i am trying to portray. and thanks to anyone for any well thought advice, as i appreciate it a lot.

Tools->Options->Tree and View->Sorting->Ignore Articles (a, an, the)
selected ?

Welcome!! If you have any questions about MC at all, this is the place to come.
