Title: MusicLobby problem
Post by: jrj on December 06, 2007, 12:51:32 pm
When I try to set up MusicLobby in MC 12, I get the following message:

This version of Media Center must be activated by running it once with at least Power User privileges.
After this activation, Media Center can be run with only guest privileges.
(Unactivated Component: C:/Program Files/J River/Media Center 12/Plugins\MusicLobbyServer.ocx)

Then a second message that says:
Interface plug-in 'MusicLobby Server' could not be found or created.

1. How do I run media center with power user privileges?
2. My local drive is G: so the MusicLobbyServer.ocx file is on the G: drive-not the C: drive. How do I get MC to look in the right place. MC is also on the G: drive-shouldn't that be where it looks for plug-ins?

You'll want to post this on the Cinemaronline.com forum.  It's possible that the versions aren't the right combination.  They can help with that.

You can try installing when logged in as an administrator.

I've also had problems with power user  privileges. exactly the same problem as jrj has. (I'm running XP pro)

I think that this is an MC12 problem. Look at this tread: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=42604.0

There seems to be a problem with the installation routine of recent versions of the Music Lobby server plugin for J Rivers Media Centre.

See http://forum.cinemaronlineforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=12417&sid=f46eb4f991a147458760b840510ac69e

Cinemars current best offer of a solution is to install MLServer on the J River machine, which would seem to enable the ML server plugin for MC.
