Title: freecom musicpal upnp problems

Hi,

been using (and have bought!) MC in conjunction with netremote/mediabridge and i think it is great - in particular the multizone.

However, I have just bought a new gadget - the Freecom musicpal which can stream from a UPnP server. I have enabled it on MC12, I can connect to and navigate the file structures ok - but the "play" command doesnt get through - the paypal just reports "connecting" and nothing happens.  No message is relayed on the uPnP server console either.   File names are displayed on the musicpal fine as well


I have tried lots of advanced options (but probably not them all) for the streaming device as the musicpal is not recognised - but to no avail.

Any thoughts? advice? assistance?

hiya,
i tried the experimental dlna option  - both on its own and with many other combinations of the advanced settings but still no joy.

 ?

I will take a closer look on Monday. Many of today's devices are not pure UPnP, they are UPnP plus DLNA. It's a pricey leap to become a DLNA provider...

I think I found something. It may or may not work, because of the DLNA stuff. I'll let you know when it's available... --- j

Definitely found a problem, it will be fixed in build 396. I don't know if it will help...

sorry for the delay in responding.  The current version  (404) works fine with my musicpal - even in autodetect mode
