Title: Can a "click on" internet link be displayed?
Post by: DBB on December 15, 2007, 12:54:12 pm
I would like to be able to click on an inserted  link to various internet sites that have information about what I am playing, eg an esssay on Beethoven sym no 5, Is it possible to do this? If so How?

Unfortunately no.  This would be super cool though if they provided a new Library Field Data Type of URL, which when displayed in a Column or the Tag AW or whatever was hotlinked to pop open in a Web Browser (or perhaps within the internal MC browser).

I'd use it for almost every video file in my library (to link to IMDB mostly).

For IMDB it should probably be more automatic.  Otherwise you'd have to edit every media file.

Now you can easily make a custom field but I think you can't make a link, right?  Can HTML be inserted into fields?  Maybe it just needs to parse HTML.
