Title: Network controlled power outlets?
Post by: benn600 on December 16, 2007, 07:45:27 pm
We have some wireless remotes to control outlet power (for Christmas decorations, fans, etc.) but I would like a network controlled outlet.  I would like it to connect to the household ethernet network and then somehow interface with PHP or provide an automatic web interface for controlling the switches.  I'd like a handful of these.  Then, I can control things remotely from anywhere.

Any idea where I can find one of these?  I did some looking but so many generic words make finding them difficult.

The control signals can originate from a PC and then drop into the house wiring to control whatever you want.
