Title: Directshow capture

I read the FAQ and some of the wiki, and saw the section on directshow, but my mind wandered before I was able to reason out the answer to my question; so forgive me if it's there in the codec technicalese

Does J River Media center support DirectShow Capture?
from various reading, I would guess this might mean "a directshow source", rather than just a filter. (which I see that MC definitely supports)  I am contemplating buying a special capture card (designed more for camera input than TV) that says among its features: blah blah fully directshow compatible blah which  adds blah blah capture and playback to your computer.  Can MC use this as an input/capture source?  I currently use Microsoft Media center for most of my play, but have heard that J River has some pretty cool features, and am looking into it.

I am 99% sure it will work. It will be under "TV Tuner" category.
