Title: Feature Request: Copy Files by Properties
Post by: darichman on December 20, 2007, 02:19:51 am
Yes, it has been asked for before, so just a friendly bump.

I would love to be able to use the "Rename File from Properties" feature to create copies of multiple files using   fields (eg recreating a folder structure of specific files, but retaining all the original ones). We could have the option to import the copies files or not import.

The current move/copy files dumps them all in a single folder. There is no way to change the directory structure: eg [Artist]/

I can't count the number of times I've wanted to use MC to copy certain files for a friend but keep the directory structure intact.

woohoo... I like the Christmas spirit.

Before the grinch returns, how about reconsidering the changes Glynor and I asked for in Media Sub Type? http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=43731.0 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=43731.0)
