Title: Is there a way to auto-get covers for albums?

I can see that when ripping a cd, MJ12 retrieves the cover automatically. I have set it to make a file "folder.jpg" in the folder.
Is there some way to automatically get covers for all the albums I already have on my computer?

Select the files and do: right-click > Cover Art > Get From Internet...

The lookup uses the Album Artist (auto)* and Album tags as the search criteria.

The online cover art database is based on user submissions. You may want to submit your cover art files to make it better. (Select the audio files > Right-click > Cover Art > Submit To Internet...)


* The program Help and this (http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/Using_Album_Artist_and_Album_Artist_(Auto)) wiki page have info about the clever "Album Artist (auto)" system if you are unfamiliar with it. Also, a search in the MC12 forum can find info.

Hi

Is there a way to change where you can get album covers from?

The reason I'm asking is because I've just installed MJ12 and ripped my first CD using it, the problem is that the album cover it downloaded have been doctored with a bunch of swear words on it and it won't allow me to get a different replacement  ?

No, but you should be able to bring up the tag window and drag and drop proper artwork on top of it.

Is there a way to search the database yourself? For example, I retag all my files so that the Artist field is (last name, first name) to sort better. Will the coverart search still find this? So, if the program searches for "Aaberg, Philip", can I manually search for "Philip Aaberg" and get the coverart? Also, for classical music, I change the Artist field to the composer, and I'd like to search using the performer, since that's usually the Artist tag.
