I'm trying to rip an audio CD to ogg vorbis, and its taken so far 30 minutes to rip 3 tracks and save the tags to each file. I haven't had this problem in the past. I cannot pinpoint what the problem may be. I'm using MC12.0.388.
I thought perhaps it might be related to my external hard drive where I selected to have all my music stored as it is ripped. However, the tracks rip very quickly, but when it comes time for MC to save the tag, it takes well near 10 minutes just for the tag to be saved to the file.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: OK, I've updated to MC12.0.400, and tried ripping to my main harddrive instead of my external drive. The amount of time to save a tag decreased to about 75 seconds per file, which is much better, but still much slower than it should be. And this was with no other applications running other than MC12.

Could be a virus checker.

Could be I have seen this before with Norton Internet Security
Re-Boot May Help
And test Another Encoder Like mp3 to see if it maybe something with the Ogg Encoder.
