Title: Unable to register Slide Show
Post by: Ricardo on August 10, 2002, 08:56:08 pm
I bought SlideShow and had tried several times to retrieve the registration with the key that came in my confrmation mail.

Using IE6 upon entering my registratio code, another page appears briefly with a Key, and several seconds later a blank page. Slide Show does not appear to be registered.

Please help me and also please restore my installation counter to the original number since I have not been able to register once.

Thanks

Hey Ricardo.

Sorry for the troubles.  Can you right-click and save the key file after entering your registration code?  If you can, try running it from the hard drive.

Also, we'll reset your install counter for sure.  And more help (if necessary) should be available Monday...

Thanks for your patience.

Matt:

I did as instructed (right click and downloaded the link after entering the registration code) but all I get is a ZERO lenght file called DMLInstifo.dat. Slideshow remains unregistered.

Will wait till monday.

Ricardo

That's a strange name. No idea what it is.  Are you running Download Manager?

No, I usualy launch Getright, but not in this case. And as far as the browser it is IE6 inside WinXP.

I Must point out that I reacently (about four weeks ago) bought MJB8 and had no problem in retreiving the registration code

Matt:

Sorry, I was looking into another file when you suggested to download de regitration executable by right cklicking it.

And, yes, I found a file called Slide Show 1.0-8959 and by manually executing it I manage to regiter the product, nevertheless I am left with ZERO in my install counter.

Could you please reset it to the start-up minus one?
